In awarding the distinguished Design for the Environment (DfE) label, the EPA focuses on a product's reduction of chemical risk and improvements in energy efficiency with lasting, positive change.
A scientific review team screens each ingredient for potential human health and environmental effects and that the product contains only those ingredients that pose the least concern among chemicals in their class.
This seal allows consumers to quickly identify and choose products that can help protect the environment and are safer for families. By meeting DfE expectations, we've earned the right to display this logo on our entire line of FloorCare Essentials.
We went the extra mile in our bottling process as well. Mohawk is the world's largest fully integrated PET bottles recycling plant and FloorCare Essentials bottles and spray triggers are 100% recyclable plastic.
