Mohawk Steals the show as premier flooring partner for new Rachel Ray Studio

Often described as daytime television’s down-to-earth darling, Rachael Ray is getting a new home for her nationally-syndicated, Emmy®Award winning talk show— and it’s largely outfitted in Mohawk’s beautiful flooring. Mohawk supplied approximately 1,000 square feet of flooring, including carpet, hardwood and laminate, for the Rachael Ray show’s new studio location in New York City. The high-profile design project was led by Mohawk spokesperson and HGTV celebrity designer Taniya Nayak, who asked to work exclusively with Mohawk for the extensive endeavor. (more)

South Dakota Brothers Sweep Mohawk's Messiest Kid Facebook Contest

The results of Mohawk’s Messiest Kid Contest are in and South Dakota brothers Cruz and Fletcher Birkeland have been named “America’s Biggest Messmakers.” More than 250 parents and grandparents entered their little ones in the nationwide search by uploading photos and videos of their messy children to Mohawk’s Facebook page. The Birkeland boys, who account for two-thirds of three year old triplets, were photographed by their mother just minutes after smearing red JELL-O® sugar all over each other. (more)

With the release of the Company’s third annual sustainability report, Mohawk reinforces its commitment to each of these groups while maintaining excellence in consistency, transparency and accuracy in reporting. Since the inception of its formal sustainability reports, Mohawk has adhered to the Global Reporting Initiative guidelines and its data has been verified by an independent auditing firm. This year’s report meets GRI’s requirement for a B+ application level, which places Mohawk among the leaders in transparency of reporting sustainable practices. (more)

Mohawk Uses Pinterest to Communicate Key Messages to Consumers

Consumers worldwide are taking new notice of Mohawk, the world’s largest flooring manufacturer, as the company unveiled its Pinterest platform earlier this week. The company has curated 15 pin boards, which visually communicate Mohawk’s key brand stories, while also showcasing its influential role as a home fashion and design leader. Pinterest is the third most popular social media site, ranking behind only Facebook and Twitter, and it is rapidly gaining users each day. (more)

Mohawk Launches Facebook Contest in Search of the Messiest Kid in America

Mohawk is utilizing a new social media campaign to show consumers that its flooring can stand up to even the biggest messmakers. The manufacturer has launched a three-month Facebook contest in search of the messiest kid in America. Parents across the nation are invited to upload a photo or video of their messy children in action to the Mohawk Flooring Facebook page for an opportunity to win some big-ticket prizes. (more)

Mohawk Partners with Nationally Syndicated The Better Show to Educate Consumers About New SmartStrand Carpet

March 14, 2012— Consumers across the country can see Mohawk’s SmartStrand with DuPont Sorona carpet in action each weekday on the nationally syndicated The Better Show. Mohawk has formed an exclusive partnership with the women’s lifestyle and entertainment program, which is produced by Meredith Video Studios and airs in more than 150 markets coast-to-coast.(more)

Mohawk Ranks Fourth in Training Magazine's "Top 125" List

Feb. 14, 2012— Training magazine, the leading business publication for learning and development professionals, has released its annual “Top 125” rankings for training organizations. Mohawk Industries placed number 4 on the prestigious list, higher than any other flooring manufacturer. This is the seventh straight year Training magazine has recognized Mohawk for its commitment to corporate-sponsored learning and development, and it marks Mohawk’s highest ranking to date. Last year, the company ranked number 18. (more)
