Last week when the painters removed the paper from the floors after painting my kitchen cabinets and family room trim, walls and ceilings they both exclaimed, “WOW, the floors really make this room!” It wasn’t that the cabinets or walls didn’t look lovely on their own, they do (you’ll get to see more of the kitchen, soon, I promise), it was that the floors added a beautiful natural element to the room that brought the space to life! I’ve heard many people say they love the look of hardwoods, but don’t want the maintenance. Maybe I’m weird, but I actually find hardwood floors quite easy to maintain.
